ACE Supports Junior Achievement of Dallas with Volunteers, Donation
For the 11th consecutive year, ACE Cash Express employees have participated in Junior Achievement’s JA In A Day program. Volunteers spend a day at local schools to teach students lessons about the importance of entrepreneurship, financial literacy and getting an education.
“Junior Achievement is a long-standing community service program with our employees,” said Eric Norrington, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs at ACE. “Volunteers enjoy their time with the students and leave knowing they’ve made a lasting impression on children in our community.”
In addition to contributing volunteer hours, ACE’s annual donation of $25,000 supports Junior Achievement’s mission to promote interactive financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship education.
“700 students in the Dallas-area will be better prepared for the future thanks to ACE Cash Express. The organization’s investment of funds and employee time allows us to change young lives through JA curriculum focused on how money management, careers, and business ownership work. Our student impact would not be possible without partners like ACE,” said JA Dallas President, Jan Murfield.
ACE’s charitable giving program, The Community Fund, is committed to empowering organizations that help children, provide education and promote financial literacy in the communities it serves. To date, the ACE Community Fund has donated more than $11 million to organizations across the nation.
About Junior Achievement of Dallas
Junior Achievement (JA) of Dallas, a nonprofit organization, inspires and prepares at-risk youth to succeed in a global economy through volunteer-delivered K-12 curriculum. JA students are introduced to the elements of successful business start-ups, hands-on budgeting simulations, learn need and want differences, plus many more everyday financial skills. Established in Dallas in 1954, JA of Dallas has updated curriculum and is more relevant today than ever with over 4,000 volunteers impacting over 50,000 Dallas area students this year. JA volunteers help students dream big and reach their potential so that they have the power to be financially wise and career-ready young adults.
