ACE Donates $25,000 to Junior Achievement of Dallas
For the past eight years, ACE Cash Express has partnered with Junior Achievement of Dallas to teach hands-on lessons about financial literacy and work readiness to elementary school students in the community.
Through this partnership, ACE employees have taught the JA curriculum in more than 300 classrooms and have donated $337,500 to the organization, including a recent donation of $25,000.
"Junior Achievement provides students with the skills they need to be financially stable in the future," said John Maguire, Chief Information Officer at ACE and Board Member of Junior Achievement. "Community service is an integral part of ACE’s culture and we are proud to partner with Junior Achievement."
Twice a year, ACE employees teach Junior Achievement’s JA In A Day program, a day when volunteers present the interactive curriculum to elementary school students for an entire school day. Additionally, employees teach other JA programs such as Finance Park, a financial literacy program designed for junior high and high school students.
"ACE has been a great partner to Junior Achievement in so many ways," said Jan Murfield, President of Junior Achievement of Dallas. "We are so appreciative of their support both with monetary donations and volunteer hours. They help us impact the youth throughout the Dallas area and further our mission."
ACE's partnership with Junior Achievement aligns with the mission of ACE's charitable-giving program, the ACE Community Fund, which focuses on helping children, providing education and promoting financial literacy. To date, the ACE Community Fund has donated more than $8.5 million to charitable organizations across the country in the communities where ACE has stores.
