ACE Donates $17,789 to Support Employment, Resources for the Homeless
ACE Cash Express is a national partner of Back on My Feet, a for-purpose organization that helps individuals experiencing homelessness obtain housing, employment and self-sufficiency. To date, ACE has donated more than $200,000 to the organization since 2011.
During ACE's annual in-store fundraiser, the Give a Little Campaign, ACE employees get to choose which charity they want to support. For the second year in a row, employees in Greater Dallas chose to partner with their local chapter of Back on My Feet. This year, local employees raised $17,789.27 to provide individuals experiencing homelessness the resources they need to regain self-sufficiency.
"I'm always impressed by the generosity of our customers. They are always willing to help others in the community," said Wesley Davis, ACE Region Vice President. "We are thrilled to support Back on My Feet."
This year’s Give a Little Campaign raised more than $358,000 nationally for the local chapters of AdoptAClassroom.org, American Red Cross, Back on My Feet, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club, National Down Syndrome Society and the Stars Scholarship Fund.
"We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with ACE Cash Express," said Gina Parker, Executive Director of Back on My Feet. "With ACE customers more than tripling their donations from last year, we are able to bring on more Members into the Back on My Feet program. Thanks to ACE we are able to spread our mission."
In addition to the dollars ACE has raised and donated, ACE employees also teach the ACE-created financial literacy curriculum to the Residential Members of Back on My Feet, which includes basic money management fundamentals.
The Give a Little Campaign fundraiser and ACE’s financial literacy program are a part of ACE’s corporate-giving program, the ACE Community Fund, which has donated more than $8.5 million to charities across the nation.
